His service to the US Navy, commitment to family, teaching high school for 50 years and dedication to church exemplified living a loyal and strong life.
John was a reliable, generous and humble gentleman. He was married 64 years to his lovely wife, Norma. John is survived by their two children, Tom and Sharon; grandsons, Paul and Ross; and four great grandchildren, Aria, Avery, Alana and Cameron.
John loved to travel, golf, grow and share vegetables from his garden, sing in the choir and spend time with family and friends. His glass half full attitude was inspiring to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed while the memories he helped create will always be cherished.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held at Covina United Methodist Church at 9am, November 18, 2024.
A graveside ceremony for the family will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Oakdale cemetery, following the memorial service.
