It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Leo or as many knew him as “Tati”. Leopoldo Guadalupe Gomez-Rodriguez passed away on September 14, 2021. Leo was born on November 28, 2002, to parents Maria Rodriguez-Peña and Leopoldo Gomez-Padilla in Glendora, California at East Valley Hospital Medical Center. After graduating from Rowland High School he continued his education through the S.T.A.R.S Program as school was where Leo shined the brightest. Leo loved school and all that came with it; His teachers, his friends, learning new skills, and especially the parties (oh, how he loved a good party). Even more than school, Leo loved his family: his mom, his brother, his sister, and his nephews and niece. One of his favorite things to do with his family was
watch superhero movies as it was made and will continue to be a family tradition in his honor.
Leo has now traded in his superhero cape for his wings and we celebrate his transition from our superhero to our angel.
A viewing for Leo will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at Oakdale Mortuary, 1401 S. Grand Ave, Glendora, CA 91740. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 10:00 AM, 1401 S. Grand Ave., Glendora, CA 91740. A burial to follow will occur Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Oakdale Memorial Park, 1401 S. Grand Ave., Glendora, CA 91740.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.OakdaleMortuaryGlendora.com for the Gomez Rodriguez family.
He had a captivating smile and an infectious laugh that melted even the hardest of hearts. He loved everyone unconditionally, despite their flaws or mistakes. He always saw the best in everyone and everything. He was always happy, full of joy, and full of life. He taught us to sit back and enjoy every moment.
But “who could do that?” you ask
“…A superhero?”
“Well, he once was”
But “what could be greater than a superhero?” “Wait…an Angel?”
“Yes”
“Our sweet angel…”
