Maria De Jesus Barrera

Maria was born on November 28, 1948 in Ahualulco de Mercado, Mexico to Ezequiel and Consuelo Tapia. She was a wonderful, Strong vibrant woman with a spirit that touched all, a loving dedicated mother, She devoted her life to her children and her family. SURVIVORS: son, Fernando Barrera; daughter Mary Lopez; son Albert Barrera and David Barrera; grandchildren Mia, Phillip, Elizabeth, Nathan, Matthew, Jayden, Noah, Frank, Gabino, and baby on the way.

She moved to California at a young age and worked for Hacienda La Puente Unified School District for over 30 years.

Besides spending time with her family, Maria had a passion for Travel, Casinos, Baking birthday cakes for her family and loved solving puzzles.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Friday January 7th from 3pm-5pm at the Oakdale Mortuary & Memorial Park 1401 South Grand Ave
