Maria Eugenia Garcia

Maria was born September 6, 1931 in Tampico, Tamaulipas Mexico to Marcial and Guillermina Velazquez and was the oldest of eight children. In 1947 she married Juan Sandoval and together they had three children. She later married Nicolas Garcia in 1962 and together they had three children.

Maria was a resident of Azusa, California since 1963. Throughout her life, her hard-working hands never stopped. Maria first worked at Monrovia Nursery and she also held positions at Mattel and Rainbird. She also worked for over 25 years as a garment presser. She shared her love for food, always making her favorite dishes for her loved ones and enjoyed listening to music and gardening.

Maria is survived by her six children: Gloria Lopez, Sofia Santoyo, Juan G. Velazquez, Lupe Garcia, Nicolas Garcia and Veronica Garcia along with 26 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Her services are under the care of Oakdale Memorial Park and Mortuary in Glendora, California.
