Maria De Jesus Quezada, 55, passed to God peacefully on April 17th 2025. She was surrounded by all her loving family. Maria, mainly known as Mari, was the oldest of 6 children. She was born in Guadalajara Mexico and moved to the United States with her family when she was 5 years old.
Since a young child Mari was very outgoing, she loved playing with the neighborhood kids. She was a social butterfly who loved being around people, talking, joking and always had a way of making others laugh. She was kind, caring and a great listener. For most of her career she worked to help children in Foster Care administration, her work meant a great deal to her. All the kids, her nieces and nephews, loved her very much. Mari reminded us how amazing it is to bring out the kid in you. She loved to have fun.
Mari loved music, especially 80’s music, and liked to dress in Madonna style. She loved dancing, and was known for her little spontaneous dances she did around the house when a song she liked came on. If dad was dancing around the house, she would not hesitate to join him. She was silly and always made us laugh with her funky moves. Her favorite holiday was New Years, she delighted in decorating the house with lots of beautiful sparkly décor. She loved anything that had bling bling! She herself was our sparkle. Mari loved collecting Precious Moments figurines and had a special connection and love for ladybugs.
Mari enjoyed trips to Cabo and liked going to Las Vegas for her birthday. She loved the beach, soaking in the sunsets and bonfires. Her charismatic and genuine personality made an impression on everyone she’d meet. She had a way with people. Mari was also so thoughtful, always offering help and taking time to be there for others. She had a big loving heart. She truly cherished spending quality time with her two loving daughters and family.
Mari’s spirit continues on through her two daughters Jasmine and Jessica, her parents Jesus and Cruz Quezada, and her 6 siblings: Sylvia, Edel, Leticia, Lilia, Ruben and Erica.
She will forever be in our hearts, deeply loved, missed, and remembered.
