Born in El Paso, Texas to Tomas Martinez Regil and Ofelia Delgado Martinez, Mary was the oldest of three children. Mary grew up in Los Angeles and attended Roosevelt High school. She later went on to teach kindergarten at New Avenue Educational Center in Monterey Park for several years. Mary took pride in teaching her young students and was often named teacher of the year.
Mary and Bob would have celebrated 54 years of marriage on April 24. They enjoyed traveling together, going to movies, eating out at their favorite taco shop, and spending time with family.
She was a stylish lady who always wanted to look her best. It was rare to find Mary without her hair and nails done! She enjoyed reading, especially a good mystery. She also loved listening to music and was so excited to see Luis Miguel in concert with her daughter Gloria. She’ll be remembered as having compassion for the less fortunate of the world. She will be greatly missed.
Mary is survived by her husband Bob Brac, daughters Terri Gostynski (Gary), Diane Guerra, Gloria Guerra, Lisa Spicer (Brad), and son David Guerra, as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Eternal rest grant unto her, oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.
May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, Rest In Peace.
Amen
