Pedro Ocegueda Lopez
June 29, 1962 - August 28, 2026
Pedro Ocegueda Lopez, beloved father, grandfather, and businessman, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026, at the age of 64.
Pedro was a hardworking, charismatic, and generous man whose greatest joys were his produce business and his family. He was always just a phone call away, calling his children early in the morning to ask how they were doing and tell them he loved them.
Sundays were especially meaningful to Pedro. He would make his rounds visiting his children and grandchildren, arriving with his van filled with fresh produce, sweets, and anything he thought they might enjoy. His grandchildren could always count on Grandpa/Tata for their favorite fruits, avocados, and of course money for ice cream, raspados, or toys.
Pedro loved music, dancing, cooking, and telling stories about his childhood in Jamay, Jalisco and his business. He had a talent for story telling, and making up elaborate stories that could make people laugh all day. He was also known for his incredible ability to sell just about anything, and his love for the San Diego Padres.
Pedro is survived by his four children, Pedro Ocegueda, Alicia Ocegueda Hernandez, Jorge Ocegueda, Dora Ocegueda Gutierrez, and his 8 beautiful grandchildren.
His love was shown through food. He loved to feed people, and feeding his family was one of the ways he showed them how much he cared. His generosity, laughter, and love for his family will be deeply missed. From his famous Sunday fish tacos to the fresh produce he brought for his grandchildren, he was always making sure everyone had something to eat and something to take home.
We will continue to keep your memory alive every day, especially on Sundays.
Te queremos mucho, Dad. You will always be a phone call away in our hearts.
