Rene was a very given individual. He taught me so much about the television and film industry... He is deeply missed and I am indebted to him!!! God bless you, brother!

Rene's  ABC  tech operations & engineering offices at Prospect Studios.in Hollywood, CA. As of Spring of 2020, due to COVID19, he & his administrative team worked from their homes. ..

I was fortunate to work for Rene at San/Mar Studios for 14 wonderful years. I looked forward to going to work every day knowing we would embark on a new adventure. I am very grateful I had the opportunity to work with Rene and I will forever cherish the beautiful memories we shared. Rene was the best boss one could ever have asked for but more importantly to me, he was my mentor and a dear friend. He helped me immensely and patiently taught me everything about production/ post-production. He believed in me and provided me with the knowledge and skills needed for me to grow. I learned so much and I am deeply appreciative of what he has taught me. I thank him for all the wonderful opportunities he gave me and the faith he had in me. It was an honor to assist him in overseeing SanMar’s business operations. There are not enough kind words I can say about Rene. He exemplified many great qualities I aspire to emulate. He was hardworking, driven, compassionate, and empathetic; to say the least. Rene was a devout Christian man who was devoted to his family and friends. He wouldn’t hesitate to give you the shirt off his back to help you and was always there to assist me and my family whenever needed. I have lots of admiration for Rene and he will always have a very special place in my heart. I will miss him dearly and his wonderful sense of humor and story-telling. Rene will never be forgotten. What I have learned from him (along with his many stories), I will share with my children. Unfortunately, Rene left us too soon but left his mark on all of us who knew him. May his legacy carry on in all those he taught and impacted through his sincerity, family values, love, and devotion. God gained a beautiful soul and we now have another angel watching over us. I would like to express my condolences to the Sanchez family and know should you ever need anything, I am here for you. Rene, May you Rest In Peace,  and may we meet again someday.

Siempre lo recuerdo cuando visitábamos a su familia en Los Angeles. Nos trataba de una manera maravillosa. Muy amigable  y respetuoso.  Descanse en paz  Sr. Rene Sánchez.

I met Rene when he co-owned SanMar studios in Hollywood , Ca.  He was. Wonderful to work for and a very thoughtful manager.  We worked on numerous boxing and kickboxing events as well as several mariachi competition shows. His kindness , professionalism and  dedication to the craft of television taught me a lot during my time with him and I’m grateful. Rest In Peace my friend .

Forever Remembered, Forever Missed

Rene is my west coast brother from another mother. We hit it off when we first met at ABC, lots of laughs and good times. After Rene left ABC to venture into his own business we kept in touch. I had the pleasure to meet and work with his sons at there church. It has been great having Rene back at ABC but this time as my General manager, the best GM anyone could wish they ever had. Rene you leave me with many great memories and great times we had over the years, I love you and will miss you dearly. My heart and condolences goes out to the Sanchez family. RIP Rene, rest in power.

Rene was such a sweet and kind man.  I always enjoyed bumping into him and catching up with him.  He truly adored his family and will be missed around the lot.

One particular memory was Rene and I working through the night on the Academy Awards. When we knocked off for the night we realized that dawn had broken. We walked to the hotel to take a shower and in turn took a little nap. Then it was back to work which included the show. We actually had a good time working together.

Then there was the Calgary Olympics which I could go on and on about.

Rene was a good man and I will miss him dearly.

To the entire Sanchez Family: 
I am so sorry about the loss of Rene. Rene was my boss for 17 years at ABC. He was brilliant,  professional and kind. He, also, believed in inclusion, no matter what level or what department you were in at ABC. He was the kind of Boss you wish you would have at each job for the rest of your life. No matter what was happening, Rene always looked on the bright and positive side of things. I considered him a friend as well. I will never forget him. God bless Rene and your entire family.
