Veronica was a force of nature. She was naturally skilled, was kind, and fiercely protective of her children. There wasn’t much that she couldn’t do if she put her mind to it. She was self-taught most of her life and was truly amazing. She could carry a tune beautifully and loved to belt out a song occasionally. She would sketch on napkins while on the phone (the phone on the wall) and she was as good as any illustrator in the comics! She was creative with home décor, crafts, kid’s costumes and made dresses for her only daughter. She took us on trips to the beach, the mountains or the local park with up to 7 kids in tow. She cooked great meals and delicious baked goodies and was able to keep the busy house in order, and when she had to eventually work full-time, it was a wonder she had time to sleep. She had a good head for numbers and juggled a very tight budget to keep us fed and clothed. Mom made friends easily and enjoyed social gatherings including community work. She never wavered when she had to carry the load of a large household on her shoulders. Mom, you were a tough act to follow! We Love You and Miss You. Rest in Peace Mom.
