Anna Laverne Hill

She was a librarian.

Mrs. Hill attended Tate’s Chapel UM Church as long as her health allowed.

Survivors include her husband: Carl Hill; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Jeff and Robin Anderson, and Jonathan Anderson;

two grandchildren: Katey and Joslyn Anderson; a great grandson: Tyson Anderson; two sisters: Kathy and Martha Anderson; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Robert Anderson, Michael and Vanessa Anderson; four nephews: Michael Linn Anderson, Jerrell Anderson, A. J. Hamler, and Marcus Anderson, whom she loved as a son; two nieces: Mahogany Anderson and Kristin Anderson, whom she loved as a daughter; two aunts: Emma Perkins and Mary Ruth Moore; and many other great nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Essie and Bernice Anderson; a dear brother, Essie Anderson, Jr.; grandmothers, Evelyn "Granny" Perkins and Anna Belle Broyles.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Rochelle Maxwell

will officiate. Interment will follow in Wesley Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Mayes, Kevin Hardy, Jamie Stewart, Rodney Merriweather, and Dustin Moore.

Honorary pallbearers will be all of her doctors and nurses, Barry Moore, Walter Rogers, Buster Jackson, George Hall, Fess Hall, Ronez Wilson, Chad Mitchell and the Golden Girls.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
