Betty L. Easterly

Betty was a retired hospital sitter and a housewife.

Mrs. Easterly was a founding member of East Greene Free Will Baptist church, where she attended as long as her health permitted.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: James L. and Martha Easterly; daughters and sons-in-law: Brenda and Dennie Pearson and Dessie and Bill Fillers, all of Greeneville; granddaughter: Deanna Fillers of Greeneville; grandsons and wives: Billy Ray and Jenny Johnson of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lynn Fillers of Parkville, Maryland, and Jeremy and Renee Easterly of Ponte Vedra, Florida; step-grandson and wife: Mark and Haley Foreman of Kalispell, Montana; great grandchildren: Brianne and Madison Easterly of Ponte Vedra, Florida; step-great grandchildren: Kirsten, Emma, and Samuel Foreman of Kalispell, Montana; sisters-in-law: Ruth Freeman and Shirley Freeman of Greeneville; nieces: Gail Fox Frisbee of Newport, Kay Fox Cureton of Parrottsville, Kathy Freeman Payne and Patricia Freeman Gass of Greeneville; and nephews: Bobby Holt, Freddie Holt, and Owen Freeman of Greeneville, Billy Lynn Freeman of Bulls Gap, David Fox of Newport, and Gary Fox of Dandridge.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years: James L. (J.L.) Easterly Sr.; father and mother: C.C. and Pearl Freeman; three sisters: Emma Mae Fox, Lorraine Lawing, and Alma Dean Holt; three brothers: Fred, Billy, and James Freeman; nephews: J.C. Freeman and Johnny Fox; and great grandchildren: Ciara Natalie Lucero Johnson and the Johnson twins.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lynn Neas and Dennis Tullock officiating.

Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Billy Ray Johnson, Darcy Lynn Fillers, Jeremy Neal Easterly, Bobby Holt, Freddie Holt, David Fox, Gary Fox, Owen Freeman, and Lynn Freeman.
