He was a retired employee of Noland Co. and Hajoca.
Survivors include his mother: Florence Broyles Brown Pittman of Johnson City; two sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Nancy Brown of Johnson City, Alan and Shelly Brown of Smyrna, TN; grandchildren: Derek Brown of Johnson City, Brittany Brown and Michael Brown of Smyrna, TN, Hollie Berry of Murfreesboro.
He was the son of the late Lewis Brown.
The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Garland Thayer officiating. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at New Salem Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. Family and friends are asked to meet at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at the cemetery for the committal service.
