Bobby Joe Knight

Mr. Knight attended Mt. Bethel Free Will Baptist Church as long as his health permitted.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He had a love of farming and enjoyed his Saturday at the stockyard.

He will be missed by all family and friends.

Survivors include his wife: Brenda Walton Knight; daughter and son-in-law: Kelly and Chris Clay; brother and sister-in-law: Willis and June Knight of Virginia; son-in-law: David Carpenter; step daughter: Tonya Shelton; step sons and wives: Eric and Paula Walton and Shane and Melissa Walton; grandchildren: Wes Carpenter and wife Kendra of Knoxville, Michael Carpenter and wife Jessie of Knoxville, Ashley Knight of Harrogate, Patricia and Corey Shelton, Caylee Walton, Chelsea and Hannah Walton; and great grandchildren: Jones Conner and Caroline Carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Horace and Ruth Knight; his first wife: Barbara Jewel Knight; sister: Elizabeth Plemons; daughter: Terry Carpenter; and son: Rick Knight of Florida.

The family will receive friends from 1pm-3pm and 5pm-7pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Raymond Perry officiating.

Interment will be at 11:00 am Wednesday in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10 am Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eric Walton, Shane Walton, Wes Carpenter, Michael Carpenter, Tony Roe, Mark Shelton, and Corey Shelton.

Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Blake, Buddy Wilson, Charlie Greene, close friends of Greene Farmers Livestock, and his close friends of Mt. Bethel Free Will Baptist Church.
