

He was retired from National Business Forms after 45 years of service.
Mr. Davis faithfully attended Victory Church of God where he had served as Head Usher and was Chairman of the Board of Trustees and caretaker.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved raising chickens and supplying people with eggs.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years: Shirley Wallace Davis; one daughter and son-in-law: Joy and Troy Craddock; a son and daughter-in-law: Buddy Wayne and Teonia Davis; three grandchildren: Cody Hopson and wife, Kandi, Lindsey Davis and Jordan Davis; one great grandson: Alex Hopson; one sister and brother-in-law: Veldena and Raymond Shipley; one brother and sister-in-law: Edward and Betty Davis; numerous nieces and nephews including a special nephew: Nicholas Davis and special niece, Kimberly Shipley; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Lloyd Wallace, Keith Wallace, Jackie Wallace, and Kathy Carter; special friend: Rev. Jim Fillers.
He was the son of the late Walter and Virgie Riddle Davis and was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Alvin Wallace and Steve Carter; one sister-in-law, Fay Dean Wallace.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2012, at Victory Church of God with Rev. Jim Fillers officiating.
Interment will follow at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Mike Kelley, Colton Gardner, Richard Southerland, John Collins, Thomas Howell, Matt DeWitt,Cody Trammel, and Steve Riddle.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Victory Church of God.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
