

He was retired from the State of Tennessee, Department of Conservation and a part time employee of Prism Plastics.
Mr. Johnson was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and was a member of the Limestone Ruritan Club.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife: Edna Johnson; five sons: Scott Johnson and Lynn, Bill Johnson and April, Mark Johnson, Leonard Ray Johnson and Shelia, James Patrick; one daughter: Patricia McKee and David; 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; two brothers: Steve Johnson and Louise, Lynn Johnson; two sisters: Cynthia Norton and Charles, Eva Johnson; several nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Mark P. Johnson and Fannie Corby Johnson and was preceded in
death by a grandson, Michael Copp, Jr.; a granddaughter, Angie Sherlin; a brother, Charles
Johnson; one sister, Phyllis Johnson.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.
Rev. Lowell Bowens, Mr. Jason Ratliff, and Mr. Howard Painter will officiate.
Interment will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery.
Friends will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Mt. Carmel U.M. Church and members of the Limestone Ruritan Club, and John Fleenor.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the ICU unit
at the Johnson City Medical Center.
The body will be taken to the church 30 minutes preceding the service.
The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home.
