Cody Landers

He was a member of Cedar Creek Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his parents: Ricky and Ashley Bolyard Landers; sister: Makenzie Landers; grandparents: Paul and Louise “Weazie” Landers, Debra Bolyard and Mike Bolyard; great grandmothers: Helen Bolyard and Sue Thomas Baker; great uncles and great aunts: Dean and Sandy Landers, Darryl Sheppard, Florence and Jim Sheppard, and Ralph E. Collins; aunts and uncles: Matt Bolyard, Austin Bolyard, Chris Bolyard, Jerry and Karen Huskins, Pam Jennings, Frank Bolyard, Steve and Debbie Baker, Jimmy Baker and Haley, Jim and Cindy Walter, and Archie and Freda Turbyfill; several cousins of the family, who loved him dearly, and all his special friends and neighbors that he has touched; and his best friends: Dillon Shelton, Mason Wyatt, Abi Colbert, and his girlfriend, Hannah Shelton.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents: Ralph J. “Pete” and Gearldine Collins, Arnold and Eulaine Landers, Dorothy Baker, Neal Baker, and Frank Bolyard; great aunt, Peggy Lunghofer; and cousin, Jimmy Dean Landers.

He always wanted to help people and he had a huge heart. He wanted to be a police officer. He liked to go to the Friday night jam session at Reformation Lutheran Church.

The family expresses many thanks to Greene Mountain Pediatrics, especially his hero, Dr. Fuller, and Laughlin Memorial Hospital Pediatrics floor.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Pastors Harrell and Marci Cobb officiating.

Interment will be at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday in Arnold Landers Family Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Howard Dowell Jr., Ben Gridley, Matthew Bolyard, Austin Bolyard, Jerry Huskins, and Kip Conner.

Honorary pallbearers are staff and students of Nolachuckey School and his Kindergarten class.
