

He retired from Hurd Lock.
Mr. Jones was a member of Hardin’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
He was a charter member of Hardin’s Chapel Ruritan and he was an avid Greene Devil and UT Fan.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Mike and Tina Jones; grandchildren: Cody and Laureen Ottinger and Kevin Jones; great grandchild: Lily Ottinger; sister: Fayetta Jones; two brothers and sister-in-law: Bob and Joyce Jones and Gordon and Mary Alice Jones; special cousin: Thurman and Jane Jones; nieces and nephews: Pam Tarlton, Allan Jones, Laura Lane; and all of his fishing and camping buddies: Chris Johnson, Cindy Johnson Kricko, Doug Cogburn and Jeff Cogburn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mary Debusk Jones; his wife, Barbara Jean Jones; and a sister, Linda Mae Jones.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 pm Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Bill Hughes and Wade McAmis officiating.
Interment will be at 10:00 am Tuesday at Cross Anchor Cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard will conduct a military graveside service. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery Tuesday for the graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Chris Johnson, Tim Tarlton, Jay Paul Cooter, James Harmon, Mike Hoard, and Jim Foshie.
Honorary pallbearers are Hardin’s Chapel Ruritan members.
