He retired from NCR.
He was a member of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Mohawk.
Survivors include his wife: Vena Mae Collins; daughter and son-in-law: Betsy and Terry Kinley of Bulls Gap; son: Rick Bible of Gilbert, South Carolina; brother: Foye Collins of Whitesburg; nine grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Wilma Gentry; two sisters: Joann Moore and Opal Dalton; and a brother: Rev. Frank Whitaker.
The family will receive friends 3pm-5pm and 6pm-8pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be conducted at 8pm Tuesday, February 18, 2014, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dwain Brewer, Rev. Dale Holt, and Rev. Lonnie Knight officiating.
Interment will be at 2pm Wednesday at St. Joseph Chapel in Midway. Family and friends are asked to meet at 1pm Wednesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nephews.
