

She was a homemaker and a member of Full Gospel Mission.
She was well loved by her family and friends.
Deannie is survived by her husband of 41 years: Wilbur Grooms; daughter and son-in-law: Mary and Charles Shelton of Greene County; four sons and daughters-in-law: Sammie and Amy Willis, Stevie and Carrie Willis, Terry and Melissa Willis, Randy and Amanda Grooms, all of Greene County; host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law: Betty and Jim Dean of Greene County; special friends: Shirley McIntosh and Edith Bowlin; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Duncan and was preceded in death by her first husband: Sammy Willis; two sons: Andy Grooms and Jimmy Willis; two grandchildren: Mary Jane Willis and Savannah Willis; two sisters: Juanita Foshie and Fannie Bullard; and one brother: Willard Duncan.
The family will receive friends at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home from 2-4 and 5-7 p.m. Saturday preceding the service and at other times at the home of a son, Randy Grooms, 104 Housley Avenue, Greeneville. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Eddie Malone and Rev. Valerie Rogers officiating.
Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Sunday at Liberty Hill Cemetery. It is requested that family and friends meet at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home at 9:00 a.m. Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery.
Her pallbearers are Roger Metcalf, Roger Metcalf Jr., Eugene Hance, Bobby McGee, Charlie Grooms, and Timothy Aikens.
Her honorary pallbearers are Tommy Bullard, Jerry Wampler, Dr. Charles Montgomery, and Vince Sarden.
