Faye "Momma Faye" Gunter

She was a cook.

Mrs. Gunter was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, having celebrated their anniversary May 27, 2016: George Gunter; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Jeff Gunter and DeWayne and Jackie McGowan; two daughters and a son-in-law: Ellen and Bobby Crum and Bea McGowan and fiancé, Ron Craig; two grandsons: Dylan Gunter and Champ Roberts and wife, Angie; a granddaughter: Amy Roberts and fiancé, Chris Wallace;several great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the daughter of the late Taylor Hill Shipley and Estelle Jennie Roberts Shipley and was preceded in death by a son, Tracy McGowan; a daughter, Jody Gunter; a grandson, Alan Roberts; and several brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be 2 pm Tuesday, June 21, 2016, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Paul Winchester and Rev. Paul Garritt will officiate.

Interment will follow in Price Cemetery at Kelley Gap.

Pallbearers will be Champ Roberts, Dylan Gunter, Chris Wallace, Larry Garritt, Lynn Shipley and Randall Knipp.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
