She retired from Dixie Cleaners and Pet Dairy.
Mrs. Britton was a faithful member of Bridges Chapel Church of God for 80 years where she served as Sunday school teacher and church clerk for over 40 years.
Survivors include a special sister: Fonda Graham Dixon; a great niece: Jamie Southerland of Marion, OH; special niece and nephew: Pat and Mike Hopson; special cousins: Carolyn and Bill Burgess, all of Afton; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Madge Britton, Mary Grace Graham, Lavane Kimery, all of Afton, Mildred and Bill Gaddis of Greeneville; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends; special friends: Helen Brown, Rev. Clarence Gammill and Faye and Jerry Wills.
She was the daughter of the late Rev. Troy and Dove Graham and was preceded in death by her
husband of 63 years, Johnny B. Britton; a special niece and nephew, Linda and Jim Bob
Southerland; a special great nephew, Casey Southerland.
The funeral service will be held at 8 pm Monday, December 23, 2013, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with
Rev. Clarence Gammill officiating. Interment will be 11 am Tuesday, at Cross Anchor Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike Hopson, Bill Burgess, Terry Britton, Frankie Isley, Anthony Percell, Stephen Kimery and Tim White.
Hoorary pallbearers will be members of Bridges Chapel Church of God, Dr. Joe Austin, the staff of Life Care Center of Greeneville, and her neighbors and friends.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 am Tuesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
