

He was retired from Tennessee Eastman after 26 years of service.
Mr. Manis was a member of Campground Church of God.
Mr. Manis was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a very caring, loving soul.
Papaw will be sadly missed by his “little fishin buddy”, Jaxson.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years: Linda Manis of Greeneville; daughters and sons-in-law: Angela and Tim Cox of Kingsport; Renee and Randy Partin of Greeneville; Crystal Bowlin of Greeneville; son: Adam Gale Manis of the home; sisters and brothers-in-law: Dorothy and Joseph Scruggs of Spartanburg, South Carolina and Bonnie and Bascum “Slimpy” Skeen of Greeneville; brothers and sisters-in-law: McKinley and Margaret Manis of Kingsport and Morrison and Marlene Manis of Kingsport; brother-in-law: Clarence Necessary; grandchildren: Brian “Scott” Shaw and his wife, Ashley, Robert Quinten Bowlin IV, and Ransom Shane Bledsoe; great grandson: Jaxson Scott Shaw; several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends: Mark Kesterson and Katie Kesterson; and a very special friend: Randy Partin.
He was the son of the late George Grant and Ebbie Lawson Manis and was preceded in death by his two day old son: Gale Ransom Manis III, who passed away in 1966; sisters: Nancy Manis (infant twin) and MayBelle Necessary; and brothers: Clyde Hale Manis, Harold Manis and Fred Manis (an infant twin).
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Kiser- Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following the visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Larrie Pike officiating.
Interment will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Scottie Shaw, Adam Manis, Randy Partin, Mark Kesterson, Tim Cox, Tommy Skeen, Michael Manis, Quinten Bowlin IV and Shane Bledsoe.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Cutshall, Jim Langrel and Phil Gaddis.
