She was retired.
She enjoyed sewing, gardening and was an avid animal lover.
Survivors include Bobby Dale Smelcer, Mark Smelcer, Willie Mae Holt, and Joseph Holt; numerous cousins and special friends: Revonda Johnson and Beatrice Jordan.
She was the daughter of the late Willie Byrd Myers and Etta Lee Kite and was preceded in death
by her husband, Glen R. Smelcer and one brother.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel.
Rev. Jim Fain and Rev. Jerry Mullendore will officiate. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roy J. Johnson, Hal Lane, Allen Pickle and Lee House.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
