She was retired from Takoma Hospital.
She is survived by a son: Steven Lester Craig and his fiancé, Kathryn Frye and her daughter, Kenya, of Greeneville; step son: James R. Bogan and spouse Mary of Edgewater, Florida; stepdaughters: Mary Jane O’Connor and spouse Michael of Waynesville, North Carolina and Nancy Jo Amos and spouse Steven of Forest, Indiana; grandchildren: Hannah Siera Craig, Allison Renea Harris, Christa N. Forwerck, Lindsey Amos, Melissa Bogan, and Alex Amos; two great grandchildren: Cooper Forwerck and Joshua Amos; and step brothers: Harry Russell and Thomas Raymond.
She was a daughter of the late Lester and Clara Smith Thompson and was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Bogan.
Her body is to be creamted. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. Sunday at Takoma Conference Volunteer Center, 304 Takoma Avenue, Greeneville, preceding the memorial service at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2011. Hospital Chaplain Jan Leffers will officiate.
