He retired after 47 years of service from Harris Manufacturing Company in Johnson City.
Mr. Masters was a member of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law: James and Betty Masters; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Bill and Madge Brown, all of South Central Community; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He was the son of the late Dana and Linnie Bailey Masters and was preceded in death by his wife, Kate Brown Masters, and one sister, Helen "Taddy" Masters.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church with Rev. John Buchanan and Rev. Jim Fields officiating.
Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in Liberty Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hope, Mike Hope, Allen Bailey, Sammy Henley, Aubrey Graham, and Robert Crumpton.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.
