Herman D. Crawford

He was the retired owner of H&L Trucking.

Mr. Crawford was a member of Bridges Chapel Church of God.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Survivors include six children and their spouses: Carl and Linda Crawford of Bulls Gap, Danny and Mary Crawford of Newport, Mike and Carole Crawford of Afton, Linda and Jerry Jones of Greeneville, Judy Holzhoffer of White Pine, and Steve and Katherine Crawford of Chesney, South Carolina; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters and one brother-in-law: Dove and John Nelson, Mary Harrell, and Janice Cox; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Don Crawford, Jerry and Linda Crawford, Thurley Jr. and Cherita Crawford; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the son of the late Thurley and Martha Ann Crawford and was preceded in death by his wife: Lucille Crawford; a son: Kenny Crawford; a sister: Claira Board; and two brothers: Newell Crawford and Haskell Crawford.

The family will receive friends 6-8pm Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8pm Thursday, September 5, 2013, in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Clarence Gammil officiating.

Interment will follow at 11am Friday at Doty’s Chapel Cemetery. Family and friends are requested to meet at 10am Friday at the funeral home to go in procession to the committal service.

Pallbearers will be Cameron Waters, Cameron Waters Jr., Conner Waters, Brian Petersen, Chad Crawford, and Christopher Crawford.
