Homer Gene Babb

He was an avid outdoorsman, gardener, mechanic, and played guitar.

He is survived by two sons, Doug (Charlene) Babb and David (Rosie) Babb; grandchildren: Jessica Babb, Justin Babb, Heather Brown, Dustin Babb, Douglas Babb, and Logan Babb; great grandchildren: Cody Duvall, Colt Duvall, Kaylee Babb, Lexie Babb, and Mark Barnett; special nephew, Eugene Duncan; and former wife, Mildred Carter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Carrie Babb; sisters: Bessie Collins, Dorothy Babb, and Mildred Harrison; and brothers: Charlie Babb, Marshall Babb, Walter Babb, Hubert Babb and Carl Babb.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Charlie Babb Jr., and Rev. Nathan Reynolds will officiate.

Interment will be conducted at 10:00 am Saturday at Doty’s Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers are Dustin Babb, Justin Babb, Logan Babb, Douglas Babb, Cody Duvall, and Ricky Malone. Honorary pallbearer will be Colt Duvall.
