To know Jo was to love her. She was a bright light in the lives of anyone who had the pleasure of meeting or knowing her. Jo loved gospel music, listening to Alan Jackson, watching animal shows, watching fish, giving thumbs up, fussing at her staff or hitting them with her little fist or raising a stink with them if they made her mad.
Jo was a resident of Greene Valley Developmental Center before she came to be cared for at Sunrise Community. Jo had many staff past and present that loved and cared for her that she also loved.
Jo was preceded in death by her father Hugh Edward Ritchie, Mother Virginia Ruth Sluder, and her best friend Gladys Walker.
Jo is survived by 3 Special Housemates Pam, Daniel, and Randy who will miss her dearly, her caring nurses and staff Sandy Price, Jeremy Carter, Christine Chambless, Tiffany Horvath, Rolando Santos, Cynthia Ayers, Josie Wampler, Judy Shepard, Priscilla Rogers, Una Wilson, Shelby Thomas, Janet Milton, Crystal Bowman, Leslie Anderson, Wenigein Kernohan, and Alisha Allman, Yvonne Cameron, and Cathy Pierce, her therapy team Suzanne Wilhoit, Marsha Carpenter, Maxie Douthat, and Page Hopson.
