Hard to believe its been two years.  Sure do miss him.

I just happened on to this obituary. My name is Jack Bundy. Johnny and I were cousins. I lived in Indiana. My mother was born and lived in Chucky, TN until she moved to Indiana as a high school girl. I used to accompany my mom and dad to Greenville to visit Ruth and Alec for years. Johnny and I were roughly the same age and we were good cousins when I was there. Great memories. I knew the whole family well, especially Ronnie, Irma, and Anna Beth. I knew that Ronnie and Anna Beth had passed away, but not Johnny, my childhood buddy in TN. I always thought I would see them all again, but that did not happen. My condolences to Johnny’s wife who I don’t think I ever met. And to Irma who as a young teenager, I thought was one of the neat east women I had ever met. I loved her. I almost went to Tusculum, but ended up at IN University. I feel very badly reading this obituary. Life moved on. I will be 75 this April. I live in Arizona now, after doing a career in the Army and a number of years working in DC. Sad Johnny and his Mom & Dad, sister, brothers are gone. I have wonderful childhood memories of my days in TN. All the best to the family.

Hilda, my prayers and thoughts are with you. While we lost touch over the years , I would often speak of John to those that knew him and  to many that didn’t. He was not only my boss for years but also my mentor and friend. Over the years in business I would find myself doing and saying things as John would do. I was thinking of him again this evening when I found his obituary.  It is with great sadness that I write this but I shall hold dear the times we spent together on the golf course, at football games, work and at each other’s homes. John was a special man and and you both will always be in my heart . Please contact me if you would like to talk.

Mr.Pickering was my supervisor when I worked at John Deere Power Products, he was one of thr best bosses we had. If we were behind in Paint Drop he would jump right in an help out. May he rest in peace

John was a special person and friend.   Very genuine and kind.  I have so many enjoyable memories of times with him and our group out on the golf course.  Thanks John for all the fun, laughs, and most of all for being a true friend.  Hilda our hearts are with you.

So sorry to hear of Johnny's passing.  While we didn't see each other often, we still regarded it treat when we would see any of our cousins.

Uncle Johnny was very special to me. I am so grateful I was in town and for the day we got to spend together just a few days before his passing.  He took me on a memory lane tour all through Greeneville, out to the old  family farm and area’s where I lived and went to church as a child. Because we were close in age we played together, went to the same school for a while and he teased often. He still has me convinced that the cows with black spots give chocolate milk.  I will miss him. My love and deepest sympathy to Hilda, Aunt Irma, Jonathan, Heather and all the family.  Janet
