June Franklin Leake Henderson

She was a retired Registered Nurse with 35 years of service.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Jeff and Sherry Leake of Greeneville; a daughter and son-in-law: Liz and Don Johnson of Afton; grandchildren: Aimee Gillespie and husband, Ryan, of Johnson City, Shasta Carr and husband, Bill, Sabrina Rohr and fiancé, Hunter Reid, Dylan Leake, Chris Franklin, all of Greeneville, and Chris Johnson of Afton; great grandchildren: Zavier, Sophie, Kasen, Alex, Kayler; brother: Oscar Franklin; sisters: Karleen Metcalf, Imo Plemmons and Emma Hursh, all of North Carolina; a special aunt: Hatha Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the daughter of the late Nelson and Norma Jean Rice Franklin and was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Henderson, and a sister, Ruby Gosnell.

The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Harrell Cobb officiating.

Interment will be at 11 am Thursday in GreeneLawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 am Thursday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Don Johnson, Oscar Franklin, Jeff Leake, Chris Franklin, Chris Johnson, Bill Carr, and Ryan Gillespie.
