Kyle Gene Southerland

He was a former employee of Ship Builders.

He enjoyed the out of doors, especially fishing and hunting.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law: Herby Southerland, Kevin and Holly Southerland of Afton, and Chris and Jessica Southerland of Greeneville; daughter: Missy Southerland; several grandchildren, including: Spencer Southerland, Skyler Southerland, Makayla Southerland, Grace Southerland, Corinne Southerland, and Brodie Southerland; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Jack and Martha Southerland of Afton, Danny and Shirley Southerland of Chuckey, and Jimmy and Michelle Southerland of Afton; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: JoAnn Hice of Chuckey, Patty and Jerry Wills of Greeneville, Marsha and Alan Landers of South Carolina; several nieces and nephews; and two aunts: Kay Hodge of Johnson City and Faye Lowe of Clear Springs.

He was the son of the late Herbert and Louella Grissom Southerland.

The family will receive friends 5pm-8pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 1pm Saturday, June 8, 2013, in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Tommy Melton officiating.

Interment will follow in Stone Dam Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his brothers and nephews.
