Leah Shawntae Bowman

She was a shipping/receiving clerk for Landair Transport, Inc.

Leah loved to play practical jokes on friends and co-workers. She also loved photography as her passion.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather: Martha and Joe Mathes of Mosheim; grandmother: Juanita Hartman of Greeneville; an uncle: Mark Hartman of Nashville; special “Pappaw”: Robert Starnes; stepsister and step brother-in-law: Charlotte and Travis Grant of Bristol, Tennessee; two nephews; “special people”: Danny Solomon and Carl Sneeden; and her friends: Nyki Britton, Jennifer Davis, and Dustin Hilton.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald Lynn Hartman, Clifford and Shelby Fox.

The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Following visitation, the funeral service will be conducted at 7 pm Sunday, March 16, 2014, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Richard Long officiating.

Interment will be at 12 pm Monday in Carters Station Cemetery at Albany. Family and friends are asked to meet at 11am Monday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Mease, Frankie Hinkle, Dennis Bishman, Floyd Lawson, David Cox, and Doug Cox.

Honorary pallbearers are her co-workers at Landair Transport, Inc.
