Marsha was my stepmother and bonus Mom! She was an amazing human and went above and beyond to make my father and our family feel loved. Our hearts our heavy and she will be deeply missed by my family and the grandchildren her and my father shared. I will never forget her love and kindness and her beautiful spirit!

I am shocked and so saddened to hear of the loss of your matriarch, Marsha. I knew her as Leslie’s mama! We had so many wonderful memories! She always included me and made me feel like family! She took me in as one of her own, and I will never forget that. Although I cannot be there physically, please know I am mourning with you afar. I am sending so many prayers and as much love as I can to all of you! It’s been a few years since our wonderful times together, but please know those memories of road trips and singing our favorite sound tracks and musicals together will be something I never forget, as well as the togetherness and love I felt when with any of you! It’s fair to say that Marsha was one of the very best nurse practitioners I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing.  She would call me not infrequently to discuss cases and I was always confident that her patients were in the right hands with her.  She was fun to talk with, and could cheer anyone’s day.  Her passing is such a loss to her family and the community.  She will be sorely missed.

Y’all know how much I loved your momma!  She knew I loved her.  As y’all probably remember she took care of me for years when I didn’t have a PCP.  She would always “work me in” because of our connection. Of course I got to hang with her outside of work. I will miss her laughter.  She loved all of you all so very much and her grandchildren were her pride and joy.  Please send my condolences to Mark as well.  I’ll miss seeing her in the hallway and knowing her walk by the sound.  Love you all! 

I may have not been able to work with Marsha for very long at Occ. Med but in the short time period I did, Marsha always lit up the room with her laughter and her smile. Marsha was a very wonderful woman and she will be dearly missed. Being a new nurse, Marsha was always willing to help out and teach me the tricks of the trade. I will miss her something awful. I pray for the family and pray for peace and comfort for them in this time of need. Marsha, enjoy your walk with Jesus and we will all see you again one day. 

To the family, I have no words to express how I feel losing my good friend and co-worker. I worked with Marsha at Takoma Hospital several years ago then had the privilege to work with her again in Occ Med/UC for the past several years up until she passed away. Marsha was a kind loving person to everyone. She loved her family and so proud of them. Marsha was like family to all who worked with her. I will miss your laughs and helping to decide what to have for lunch, helping keep our goody drawer full but most of all I will miss YOU. Rest in peace my dear friend, you will never be forgotten. So sorry for your loss. I was a ER physician at Morristown-Hamblen and knew her well. She well be missed by so many cause of her intellect and personality. 

I was so sorry to hear about this. I worked with Marsha for a short time recently and she was such a sweet and kind person to everyone. She was always such a positive and fun person to be around. My prayers are with the family, friends, and co-workers. I know this was such a shock and you will miss her very much! I am thankful and blessed to have known her.

I’m saddened to hear about the passing of Marsha. I’ve only known her for 3 1/2 years, but she was a great individual to work with. My thoughts and sincere prayers to the entire family and staff she worked with. Marsha will be missed, but not forgotten.

I had the pleasure of working with Marsha for the last 7 years.  Through those years, she has been nothing shy of a blessing.  Knowing that we both had work to get done, we would continue to sit in her office and talk about my children and her grandchildren whilst showing photos of each one. No matter how busy we were she'd always say "Miss Thang, we'll get through this day. It's got to be 5 o'clock somewhere, right?" Her sense of humor, sweet smile, and kind heart will be a memory that I will forever cherish.

Marsha (“Dr.  Marsha” as we lovingly referred to her) was my teen daughter’s primary care person when we first moved to town and hadn’t found a dr. She remembered my daughter every time we came in. Marsha was loving, compassionate, smart, and involved. When my daughter needed shots for college, Marsha took the time to rewrite her illegible shot record- talk about above and beyond! She was everything a medical provider should be and then some. Though I haven’t seen her in a few years, her loss is a profound one- not just for us but for this community. 

Words can't express the heart felt unexpected loss of such a good and caring person such as Marsha! I had the pleasure of working with her for the past few years on a daily basis and not only did a gain a wealth of knowledge from her I also gained a true friend. My thoughts and prayers for comfort and healing go out to her family, friends, and co-workers. Marsha was always pleasant and caring with the people and patients she came in contact with, and no matter if you were 18 or 80 I will miss hearing her saying "Hello there young man/woman".  Marsha may be gone physically from our daily lives but she will not be forgotten. Rest in Peace Marsha!

There are no words that can adequately express what Marsha has meant in my life.  To put it simply, she is one of the best people I have ever had the privilege to know and love.  We worked together at Takoma for 6 wonderful years.  She was my professional peer, my confidant, but most of all, she was my friend.  We learned from each other, we taught each other, and we laughed together.  Oh, and they were heart warming times!  No one will ever take her place.   The world is so much better for her having been in it.   If we could all strive to be more like her every day, what a great thing that would be!  The influence she had on my life will always be with me.   I love you my sweet friend, Marsha.

I worked with Marsha off and on for 30 years at several locations. We were always close friends. I will always remember her as the best medical provider I ever worked with.  Sadly missed.

Marsha had such a contagious smile.  The nursing community and the community as a whole has lost a very sincere person who loved her job, her family and life.
