I just recently learned of Martha's death. I knew Martha from the days of teaching through her designer days... I always called her and when she answered I would say, " is this my favorite designer?" She always knew it was me. I totally adored and loved Martha. She was an outstanding designer and a superb role model for women. The world was made a better place with Martha in it. I know it is a sad time for you both...she loved you guys very much.

Martha was a business associate and dear friend.  Many words come to mind when describing her---top notch, first class, stellar.  My deepest sympathy is conveyed to Roger and Anthony.

It was always amazing to see the lives you touched and the beautiful confident take charge' business woman so completely at home in your Design Resources Studio. I watched day after day as you faced heartache, loss, and health problems of your own and yet with such grace and care you would listen as others would pour out their hearts across from your desk. I told you that you would make a wonderful consoler! Look at all the lives you have touch. I think you would be proud. I can never thank you enough for all the time and instruction you gave to establish my career. And no I'll never forget your voice when I'm problem solving say Think, Ruth, Think! You will be missed here but it's only for a season until we meet again. I love you! Thank you for just being Martha!

I am so saddened to hear about Martha. She and I go back a long ways. I bought her building in 2010 ( Design Resources ) She would always call every couple of months to see how I was doing. I knew she missed her business. My thoughts and prayers are with you Roger and Anthony.

I was a student of Martha's at Science Hill High School, also. I remember her mostly for her enthusiasm and sense of humor.  She was a dedicated teacher and a friend to many of us.  She showed a genuine interest and concern for her students.  She was never too busy to stay after school if we needed help or if we just needed someone to talk to.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Ms. Maze was my favorite teacher for the 2 yrs. I had her for Home Ec. at SHHS. She was a lady of such elegance, class, and a great role model for her students. She will be greatly missed. My prayers and thoughts are with the family.

I was a student of hers in 1978-1980 @Science Hill High School.  A woman truly ahead of her time.  She spoke of so much love for her husband Roger and her son Anthony.  I still remember their names.  What a jewel and treasure to my life.  She truly touch many lives and mine included.  I send my loving thoughts and prayers to her family- may God wrap his arms around you during this time of loss.

Saddened to learn of the death of Martha.  I loved her!  She was a woman who stood by what she said.  She made a contribution to her community and never waivered from responsibility.  She seemed to have boundless energy, but I know that often she went on with what the task was even when she felt poorly.  She was a professional business woman, and I admired her.

I had the privilege of taking classes on Interior Design given by Martha.  She was very well informed and enjoyed sharing her expertise with her pupils.  She was a dedicated worker and all round lovely lady.  May God bless her family during this time.
