

She was employed with Magnavox/Five Rivers for 30 plus years.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Ruth is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Charlene Witt of Russellville; three grandkids, Allen (Leanna) Witt, Nicholas Witt of Greeneville and Karen (Ryan) Buchanan of Spruce Pine, North Carolina; four great grandkids (her world) Bryson and Hayden Buchanan of Spruce Pine, North Carolina and Kholey and Paislee Ruth Witt of Greeneville; her little buddy Chico; a brother, Boyd (Nona) Chandler of Morristown; sister, Wanda Lawson, of Morristown; sisters-in-law, Rena Witt and Helen (Kenneth) Rednour. Also surviving are special niece, Audrey (Mike) Pope of White Pine as well as several other nieces and nephews; special friends, Brian, Rose and Tyler Swafford of Crossville; Ann Bentley of Alabama; Eloise Chandler of North Carolina as well as many others too numerous to name.
She was the daughter of the late Lewis and Callie Chandler. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, James Witt; brother Bennie and Tony Chandler and sister, Grace Gosnell.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 5 – 7 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 1 pm on Thursday in the chapel of the funeral home with Jon Persley officiating.
The graveside will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Allen Witt, Nick Witt, Ryan Buchanan, Brian Swafford, Tyler Swafford, Rankin Gregg, Marty Shelton and Elmer Seay.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Gupta and staff. All the special staff with Amedisys Home Health. Also, all the wonderful nurses at Morristown Hamblen Hospital.
