Mildred Rovena Parkins

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Parkins was of the Baptist faith.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mrs. Parkins was loved by everyone and she loved them, especially children.

Survivors include two sons: Eddie Parkins, Kyle Parkins and very special friend, Beverly Sheffey; grandchildren: John David Parkins, Josh Parkins and wife, Marsha, and Garren Parkins, and wife, Linsey; great grandchildren: Eli Shirey, Taylor Jay Parkins, Neal Parkins, Audra Parkins and Abigail Parkins; a niece: Debbie Duncan; and a brother-in-law: Don Brown. All are from Greeneville.

She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Dorothy Harrison and was preceded in death by her husband, C. E. “Bud” Parkins; and one son, Lyle Parkins.

The family will receive friends 1-3 pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 3 pm Sunday, November 17, 2013, in the funeral home chapel with Rev Shean Hobbs officiating.

Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Parkins, Kyle Parkins, Josh Parkins, John David Parkins, Garren Parkins, Eli Shirey, Taylor Jay Parkins and Neal Parkins.
