She was a Jehovah's Witness.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Lynn and Sue Hughes; brothers and sisters-in-law: Joe and Joann Bowers, Bob and Joann Bowers, and Royce and Beth Bowers; sisters and a brother-in-law: June Roller and Janet and Johnny Sinks; an especially close grandson: Benji Hughes and Shelly and Lilly; and several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Coy P. Hughes (whom she married in 1947); a son: Ronald B. Hughes; and brothers: George "Penny" Bowers, Luck Bowers, Gary Bowers, and Dave Bowers.
The family will receive friends from 6pm-8pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Tim Nichols and Harold Harter Jr. officiating.
Interment will follow in Cross Anchor Cemetery.
