Paul Wesley McFarland Sr.

He was President of McFarland & Son, Inc. and a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church. He was also a member of Greeneville Moose Lodge #692 and American Legion Post #64. He served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. McFarland is survived by his wife: Beverly Reid; a son: Paul W. McFarland, Jr. of Asheville, North Carolina; a step daughter and spouse: Robyn and Roddy Michalove of Greeneville; grandsons: Benjamin Nate and David Michalove; and a brother and sister-in-law: Robert C. and Barbara Burton of Clinton, Tennessee.

He was the son of the late John and Grace White McFarland and was preceded in death by a son in spirit: Kevin Maitland.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father John Appiah officiating. The family will receive friends at the home following the memorial mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Notre Dame Catholic Church Building Fund, 212 Mt. Bethel Road, Greeneville, TN 37745.

A private interment will held later at Green Hill Cemetery in Asheville, North Carolina.

Honorary pallbearers are Robbie Berdahl, Ryan Kelley, Michael J. Zboyovski, Jonathan Hunter, and Desmond McAfee.
