

He retired from Alliance Imaging.
Mr. Moncier was a faithful member of Carpenter’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church for as long as his health permitted.
He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Moncier loved farming and loved to visit with his friends at the “Caution Light Café”.
Survivors include his wife: Dorothy “Tenna” Moncier; two sons: Robert L. “Robby” Moncier, Jr. and Ronnie Jones; a daughter and son-in-law: Michele and Mike Smyth, all of Mosheim; two special grandsons whom he adored: Alex and Matthew Smyth; stepsons: Danny Jones and wife, Carol, and Ricky Jones, all of Greeneville; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Kay and Wanda Moncier of Mosheim, Danny and Mary Ruth Moncier of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Tate and Victoria Moncier.
The family will receive friends 4-8 pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Carpenter’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Sonny Beaver and Rev. Jim Trent will officiate. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church Saturday for the funeral service.
Interment will follow in Carpenter’s Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Clifford Shoemaker, Jerry Deyton, Tommy Blazer, Brad Swatzell, Brandon Fillers, Dwayne Atchinson, and Shane Faschnat.
Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Carpenter, Glen Barnard, and the men of Carpenter’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
The family wished to express thanks to Dr. Dharman Patel and staff, Valarie Mullins NP, Dr. Beth Bulawa, Dr. Stephen Flohr, and the all the other doctors and nurses that provided Robert with wonderful care.
