He was a retired police officer.
Steven was a member of Victory Life Center and the American Legion. He was also a training officer with the National Sheriff Association.
He loved the Lord and was a very good man.
Survivors include his wife of eight years: Joyce Ready; a step-son and wife: Scotty Gene and Melody Richards; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his mother and grandmother.
The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Tuesday, May 26, at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8:00 pm Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mack Greer officiating.
Interment will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday in Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:30 pm Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
Pallbearers will be his church family and friends.
