

Teresa “Teri” Lynn Yates, age 53, of South Allen's Bridge Road, Greeneville, died Saturday evening, September 4, at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, Georgia, from heart complications while she was visiting her sister.
Teri volunteered for 20 years at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
She loved reading, traveling, baseball, and animals. She had a strong love for life during her long illness. She was an avid country music lover.
She is survived by her parents: Bert and Bea Yates of Greeneville; sister and brother-in-law: Debbie Yates and Joe Roy of Atlanta, Georgia; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Greg and Donna Yates of Gulf Breeze, Florida, and Brian Yates of Greeneville; her nieces: Elizabeth Yates and Emily Yates of Gulf Breeze, Florida; her nephew: Jackson Yates of Gulf Breeze, Florida; her special friend: Ernie Love; a special cousin: Lisa Ann Vine; special aunt and friend: Linda J. Humphreys; and numerous other loving cousins.
The body is at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday preceding the service at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Stephen Aiken and Rev. Lawrence Pack will officiate.
The interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. It is requested that family and friends meet at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the committal service.
Her pallbearers will be her cousins: Randy Yates, Stanley Oliver, Joe Boyd, Brad Humphreys, Chuck Humphreys, Brock Humphreys, Robbie Collins; and her nephew, Jackson Yates.
Her honorary pallbearers will be her cousins: Billy Yates, David Oliver, Dwayne Collins, Gene Collins, Danny Humphreys, Mike Skinner, Tony Broyles; Dr. Charles Montgomery; and the volunteers at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
