
Thomas Edward Wade, beloved son of Henry and Lillian Wade, died July 8, 2014. He was born in Hackensack, New Jersey, October 27, 1949 and was graduated with honors from St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, New York. He also attended Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. He had lettered in wrestling at Nanuet High School, had won awards in the Boy Scouts and excelled in Karate. He also won awards for poetry he wrote. He had been a member of Nanuet Baptist Church. He had a great appreciation for mountains, streams, wild flowers, all wildlife, and he loved his family. He had sincere compassion for all people.
He is survived by his parents of Greeneville; two sisters: Rebecca Wade and husband, Jake Hudson, Dr. Carolyn Wade Hooper and husband, Dr. Scott Hooper; nephews: Andy Hudson and wife, Sheena, Thomas and Charles Hooper; and great nieces: Neila and Darby Hudson, all of Knoxville; also an aunt: Carleen Swanson of St. Louis, Missouri; and cousins in Missouri, Colorado, Michigan, Illinois, New Jersey, Texas, Oregon, Tennessee, and Virginia.
There will be private burial service at Shiloh Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Dan Donaldson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greeneville Food Bank or the charity of one’s choice.
