At the age of 4, I remember this 17 year old young man, Vincent, trying to impress my 14 year old sister Dixie. Occasionally I was their chaperon for some of their dates. My father, Juan Caro had great plans for this young man. At a blink of an eye the days had become years. I watch Dixie & Vincent get marry, become parents and grandparents. Vincent, a man of a few words and many words but always no nonsense. I remember one my conversations with Vincent. We haven't seen other for a while so we had to make up for lost time. I remember pausing to look at the time and realize 8 hours has gone by and we were still going strong. One thing I learned about Vincent wasn't what he said out loud, it was when he whispered into my ear that I remembered the most. One day he pulled me close and he whispered, see that woman over there. He was looking at his wife, my sister Dixie. He said, she is the Love of my Life! His loved ran deep but it would only come out as a whisper. To my beautiful family out there who are sharing this great loss of someone I knew for 64 years. His whisper to you all is that he Love You All So Deeply! He will be missed but his whispers I will carry in my heart forever. Forever Love.

I have so many fond memories Dad but the one that will stay with me the rest of my life is from my last trip to see you in Tennessee. We were saying our goodbyes because I was heading out early in the morning and you were getting ready for bed. I came into your room to say goodnight one last time and you hugged me and said I love you. So saying goodbye to you today isn't going to be easy but I will love you always and forever.

I remember when Dixie was in the hospital & I was visiting her. At one point both Vincent & I were in the waiting room at the same time. We had not spoken much before then. I remember how precious it was as Vincent lovingly shared with me how he & Dixie had met and special memories about their times together. He shared about his past work history. He was so very kind, and it was very evident what a wonderful man he was and the testimony of a fairy-tale marriage with true love over the many years that very few couples could match! 

Robert and I love Vincent so much, he made a wonderful  impression in our lives. My heart aches, my head feels like it is going to blow off! I have wonderful joy filled memories of all the things he did for us. When we got married, Vincent loan Robert his wedding ring and loan us his car for a week!  He did not have a selfish bone in his body, he was always willing to help others. The world will never be the same! We will see him again because we know where he is, he is in heaven and has a new and perfect body.  We will see his beautiful smile again! We miss you miss you miss you and we love you more! Robert and Iris...

I used to work with my dad on his projects or whenever something needed to be fixed. I used to be his apprentice. I remember holding the jig when we would build a deck. My dad was the guy who would walk through rain and snow to get to work. Even if he had an injury, like steel in his eye or walking pneumonia, he went to work. I love my dad and he will be greatly missed. 

We remember him working on Calvary Chapel in Greenville. Such a kind and funny man. Our condolences go out to you and your family. We will be praying for you and your family. 

So sorry to hear of Vinny's passing.  I have fond memories working with him during the renovation at Calvary Chapel.   He was extremely knowledgeable in construction.  When I thought something was impossible to do... Vinny had a plan!  "Tell me what you want", he would ask and then got it done.  What a talent!  Enjoyed sharing stories about NY and joking around with him.  I'm blessed to have had the opportunity to share that time with Vinny. He was a good man with a good heart.  May we find comfort in the Words of our Lord, Jesus Christ, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying."
