

His place of worship was Cedar Creek Church of God.

Mr. Gosnell will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed by many. He was very active in the Cedar Creek Church of God, serving as chairman of many boards and committees.
He was a retired lineman and superintendent from the Greeneville Light and Power System. He also worked as a carpenter. He was currently teaching a certification course through Walters State Community College and worked as the caretaker of the East Tennessee Campground Association on the Asheville Highway.
Bill is survived by his wife of 41 years: Ruth Gosnell; two daughters and sons-in-law: Amy and Glen Luttrell and Shannon and Ken Brewer, all of Greeneville; five grandchildren: Sarah and Jacob Luttrell, Sydney, Kyndall, and Ellah Brewer of Greeneville; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Judy and Clay Smith of Greeneville and Cathy and Tommie Sutton of Cosby, Tennessee; sister-in-law: Porshia Gosnell of Greeneville; five brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Imogene and J.G. Smith, Clarence and Maretta Waddell, Linda and Earl Helbert, Minnis and Norma Waddell and Janet Waddell of Greeneville; special nephew and niece: Tommy and Kathy Gosnell; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Stella Gosnell, and his brother, Tom Gosnell.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home preceding the service at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Dr. Darryl Allen and Rev. Willis Bowers will officiate.
Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. It is requested that family and friends that would like to join the family for the committal service, meet at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
His pallbearers are Chris Boles, Charlie Fellers, Mike Finchum, O’Dean Goins, Kenny Morrison, and Charlie Spears.
Greeneville Light and Power System employees and members of the Crusaders Class at Cedar Creek Church of God will serve as honorary pallbearers.
