Adrianus "Art" Turnhout

Born in Noordwijk-ZH, Netherlands, Art lived in Puslinch, Ontario, for many years. He loved his home and took great pride in his beautiful gardens. His greatest accomplishment was serving his country as a member of the Royal Dutch Marines.

Survived by his wife Marian, son Erik (Monique) daughters, Maria, Diane, Denise (Pat), Darlene, and Karrie (Max). His grandchildren, Natalie, Julianna, Michelle, Danielle, Aaron, Nicolas, and Connor. His great-grandchildren, Blake and Jace.

Art was predeceased by his son Tony, daughter, Dawn, and his sons-in-law, Lorne and Gerry.

Art had a distinguished career as a Marine and later as an employee of Ford Motor Company. Always upbeat, smiling, and an inspiration to all.

We are sad to say goodbye and will cherish many great memories of our time together. Art will truly be missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Art's memory would be appreciated by the family.

A visitation for Art will be held Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and Monday January 11, 2025 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph. A funeral service will follow the next morning, Monday January 13, at 11 AM. A livestreaming link will be provided on the website. Reception to follow funeral service at the funeral home, then a committal service will take place at Belsyde Cemetery, Fergus.
