Aleksandar Svenda

Aleksandar passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital on Tuesday, August 13th, at the age of 70. In his final hours, he was surrounded by his close family and loved ones. He was a loving son to the late Milan and Radmilla Svenda. He was a beloved brother to Milorad Svenda and sister-in-law Vesna Svenda. He was the best uncle to his nieces Sandra and Diana Svenda. Aleksandar will be missed very dearly by his family and close friends.

Everyone who had the pleasure of meeting Aleksandar was touched by his positive outlook on life and joyous energy. He always took it upon himself to brighten the days of those he crossed paths with. His love for life shone through his many interests such as gardening, fishing, playing cards, cooking, and simply observing the beauty in nature around him. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Guelph General Hospital, Grand River Hospital and the Freeport Campus for their kindness, support, and care. A special thanks to Dr. Friedman and his staff at the Guelph Renal Clinic for the care and support they provided Aleks over the last 10 years.

A viewing and service will be held for family and friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, on Monday, August 19th between 6:00-8:00 pm. A private family service will take place at a later time.
