Betty Rosina Mae Thiessen (Wurr) peacefully concluded her earthly journey and was promoted to Glory on June 12, 2024. She was enveloped in love and surrounded by her cherished family, eagerly anticipating an eternal reunion with Jesus.
Betty was deeply adored by her family, particularly her beloved late husband Henry Thiessen (2024), with whom she shared 67 years of enduring love and companionship. Their union was blessed with two children: the late Jocelynn (2022) and Jacquelyn (Darcy), as well as three Grandchildren: Korrinne (Brian), Seth, and Owen, and two Great Grandchildren: Charlotte and Henry.
In addition to her roles within her family, Betty was a devoted servant of Guelph Bible Chapel, where her commitment to faith was demonstrated through her tireless service. She passionately imparted wisdom as a Sunday school teacher and meticulously organized the chapel's kitchen for all events, ensuring that fellowship was always accompanied by warmth and nourishment.
Betty's professional journey was marked by dedication and integrity. She began her career at Armco in Guelph, where her proficiency as an administrative assistant was invaluable. Subsequently, she contributed her talents to the Crown Attorney's office in Guelph, where her commitment to excellence left a lasting impact. Betty concluded her career at the Wellington Law Library, retiring with distinction and leaving behind a legacy of diligence and professionalism.
Those privileged to have known and loved Betty find solace in the knowledge that she has been called into the comforting arms of Jesus, where she will reside in eternal peace and joy.
