Chuck will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his partner, Martha; his children Deb (Rob), Dave (Janis), and Janice (Dave); his beloved grandchildren, Erin, Lindsay, Mike, Emily and Hanna: and his three great grand children Ethan, Evie and Wallace. He is predeceased by his cherished wife, Bernice.
Chuck was a man of curiosity and adventure. He had a passion for travel, camping, and the occasional visit to the casino. A true gadget enthusiast, Chuck was always ahead of the curve—one of the first to own a CB radio and a Beta-Max video player—his fascination with the latest technology was legendary and his collection, too large to count.
Above all else, Chuck was devoted to his family. His warm heart, generous spirit, and quick wit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
A memorial visitation will be held at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home (1099 Gordon St. Guelph) on Tuesday, July 22, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. A reception will take place afterward.
Chuck’s memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love he gave so freely.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital. A place dear to his heart where he volunteered for 14 years.
