My deepest condolences with the passing of David. We have been working together on a few projects across the ocean. So, our communication went mostly by phone or zoom. But always Dave's likability and good-heartedness shone bright.
When I met him in person when I was visiting the office in Canada, his kindness and interest made me feel like a friend. Thanks Dave, for the opportunity to meet you. You impressed me with your personality and your knowledge.
His loss must be devastating to everybody close to him. Just remember the good times and keep his memories in your heart. That way he will live on forever.

Despite the distance across Canada,  Dave, has always been a dear and close friend.  From the days of junior high school at St. James,  where we were both introduced to basketball by a fellow paesano Mr. Dragonari?, who would encourage the boys every time a basket was made saying "What a lay-up! and would give a high 5". l would guess this is where Dave's love/passion for basketball began and the early days of our friendship.   We also worked together at the Italian Canada Club (ICC) working our way up from dish washer to bartender, but l think Dave's favorite job was maintenance crew, not because he loved setting up and cleaning up of the hall, but Dave loved putting together a lunch for the maintenance crew having full access to the cooler which had the makings for wedding dinners... stracciatella soup,  penne arrabbiata, chicken supreme, veal parmigiana, tiramisu, or any type of gourmet Italian panini for a lighter meals.  No crew member went hungry. 
Our families have enjoyed many wonderful dinners together in Vancouver, Guelph and even a traditional townhall lobster dinner in PEI.   They say that a family that eats together stays together. I guess this applies to friends too. 
Of course, Dave's strongest passion and conviction is family, which I believe comes from the love he received from Rita and Ignazio and there is no stronger bond then his love for Anita, Maya and Sarah.     
You will be with us always Dave.

Words feel inadequate right now, but I wanted to express my deepest and most heartfelt condolences.
I have very fond memories of Davey from our childhood years. Our families were very close. My dad sponsored his parents and brother Dan in their immigration to Canada and hosted them in their home until they got settled. Both our families quickly grew in size. I remember many family gatherings with so many cousins and friends. We attended countless Italian heritage events and picnics.  We spent many joyful summer days swimming at Hoover Park. Those times together were always filled with laughter and love. Dave’s easy going nature, curiosity, sharp intellect, and genuine compassion were always so evident. He was such good company. 
Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. 
May the memories you shared with Dave bring you comfort and strength during this unimaginable time.
