He leaves behind his wife and high school sweetheart Monique (nee Gilbert), and was a deeply devoted father to his three children, Audrey, Sebastian and Simon. Beloved son of Giorgio and Gabriella, and loving brother to Danny and Angela. He will be greatly missed by his extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, Zia’s and Zio’s, both in Guelph and in Italy.
Over the last 20 years Dino established his own electrical contracting company that fostered lifelong relationships that transcended both work and business. Many friendships were made, with countless laughs along the way. Dino was so very proud of his children’s accomplishments and was often the loudest in the crowd. Pinery Provincial Park was the destination of choice every summer with the family trailer. Summers were not complete without those gorgeous sunsets! Dino enjoyed late night campfires with his loyal yet undisciplined companion Dante. Many fond memories include travelling with friends and family. The island of Aruba holds a special place in his heart from his honeymoon to his final vacation abroad.
Above all Dino will be remembered for the love shared with family and friends and the many lives he touched along the way. His family feels forever blessed that they got to share this journey with him – what a ride!
A special thanks to the team of doctors and nurses at Grand River Hospital for their attentive care throughout Dino’s battle with kidney cancer.
In memory of Dino, donations can be made to Grand River Hospital (WRHN Foundation) or the Canadian Cancer Society (Kidney Cancer Research).
The family will receive friends at Holy Rosary Church (175 Emma Street, Guelph, ON) on Friday October 10th, 6 - 9pm.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday October 11th at 10:30 am at Holy Rosary Church.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal,
but love leaves a memory no one can steal.
